A Girl Named Elle

I love Elle. If I could work for any magazine, it would be her (or Nylon). In my daily prowl for fashion news and things that are dope, I always visit Elle.com.  Today, I found a goldmine. So I'm posting two of my favorite things from there today.
Gaga & Gaultier Documentary on the CW Coming this September!
Any fab fixator or fashion head hears Gaultier and Gaga and their interest is automatically peaked. So if you're like me, on September 13th, you'll be tuning in to the CW to see the two of them basically just dish and do all sorts of fabulous things that people like them would do in each other's company. It will be an hour long and I know that this will be on a lot of monster's DVRS!

Skyscraper
Anyone who knows me know that my favorite Disney star has always been Raven Symone, followed by Hilary Duff. I grew up in the 'Cheetah Girls' era. I've never been into Hannah Montana. At all. Nor have I ever like Wizard's of Waverly Place or Selena Gomez. However, when Camp Rock debuted in 2008, I discovered a new Disney girl who I really liked.

I've always been a Demi fan. Seeing this editorial in ELLE and reading the article (read here) made me so happy. I've been keeping up with her interviews and such lately and I bought her new single 'Skyscraper' on iTunes (and you guys should, too). Demi is talented and not only that, she's a strong and beautiful individual, inside and out. So I had to share these photos with you guys, just on GP.

Who Run This Mutha?

So, unless you're living under a rock, I know you've heard that the great Beyonce is releasing her album in a matter of weeks. It leaked earlier this week which she expressed a lot of sadness about. (None the less, I heard it and it's pretty great. When '4' DOES drop, I'm definitely buying!). At any rate, due to the release of '4' and her singles 'Run The World' and 'Best Thing I Never Had', Bey has been doing a bit of press. And I must say, this editorial of her in Dazed and Confused magazine is really fierce. Here they are courtesy of The Fashion Bomb's blog. Thought I'd share with Quench Fab readers!

In my opinion, all of these are FIERCE. Bey is rocking Tom Ford, Riccardo Tisci, Gareth Pugh, Haider Ackermann, Stefano Pilati and Marc Jacobs. Only the best for her new title 'King B'! Anyone who has seen the Run The World video saw that she was donning Emilio Pucci, Givenchy, and so much more. I even heard that the dancers were wearing actual pieces of couture from Beyonce's personal closet. The visual of Run The World is beyond dope to me and the fashion definitely played a major part!

You have to respect her commitment to the vision and her all around "Beyoncessness". (Yes, I made that word up. I've even heard phrases like 'Beysus' which is a combination of Beyonce and Jesus). While I wouldn't go so far as to call her a God, Bey does give off a goddess-like air and I love that about her. She is without a doubt always at the top of her game!

In the mean time, purchase 'Run the World' and 'Best Thing I Never Had' on iTunes now! And enjoy the "King" as she slays with her fierce choreography, undeniable fashion and amazing vocals.

A New Tune For Liya

Accomplished model, Liya Kebede (who happens to be my absolute favorite model) is posing to the beat of a new drum in the September 2010 issue of Vogue Italia. Rocking a punk, spiked hairstyle and tons of leather, the fashion-forward biker chick look pretty much speaks for itself. Tom Munro, the photographer, incorporates a great grunge quality to the photos. Liya's always fierce anyway so everything came together great for this editorial spread. Also, kudos to the stylist Ludivine Poiblanc for being gutsy enough to try something so fresh with Liya. She's obviously versitile but I haven't seen her this hardcore in a while. Enjoy!
