Kanye to Collaborate With Giuseppe Zanotti?

We all know Kanye West will be showing a collection at New York Fashion Week this year, and we all know he has worked with Louis Vuitton on sneakers. Bomen's shoes is a different ball game. The fab people at Footwear News chatted with Giuseppe Zanotti who bragged about the rapper collaborating with him.

“Kanye is always here in my factory. In the last three years, he has come here maybe every month and worked with the employees 10 to 12 hours a day. [Kanye] loves learning about shoes, both the design and construction, and we’ve tried to design something together. In a couple of months, he could have his own special collection out.”

Kanye seems to have a lot of credibility with a lot of powerful people in the fashion bubble. Can you be mad at Ye'? I for one am intrigued to see what's popping with these two!

Nasce così una versione in pelle nera e velluto con acuminate borchie ton-sur-ton (455 euro) e una più “romantica”, in camoscio rosa cipria, decorata da un alto bordo in denim tempestato di strass (550 euro). The result is a version in black leather and velvet studded with sharp ton sur ton (455 euros) and a more "romantic" powder pink suede decorated with a high edge denim jacket studded with rhinestones (550 euros). Nella Primavera 2011, invece, il designer esordirà con la sua prima linea di calzature per il marchio Vionnet. In Spring 2011, however, the designer will debut with its first line of footwear for the brand Vionnet. Ispirata alla classica eleganza degli Anni 30 e 40, questa collezione è composta da 25 modelli in nappa (liscia o traforata) e seta, che alle sfumature basic del bianco e nero uniscono quelle del beige, caramello e zafferano. Inspired by the classic elegance of Years 30 and 40, this collection consists of 25 models in leather (smooth or perforated) and silk, that the basic shades of black and white unite those of beige, caramel and saffron. Le forme? Forms? Décolletées, sandali effetto nudo, sabot e ballerine in tessuti luminosissimi: tutte in vendita a partire da novembre (prezzi dai 390 ai 700 euro). Nicholas Kirkwood

Okay, so this post is going to be a relatively short one. I plan to do something like a series because I can't very well express my awe and instant love for this designer. I discovered one of Nicholas Kirkwood's shoes on ELLE.com. I was so smitten that I decided to go to his site. While on the site I nearly cried. These are the types of shoes that will make someone miss paying their bills. I could not find one pair of shoes that I didn't absolutely love. Clicking through the various designs and holding back tears, I quickly did a little digging to find out the story behind a man of such talent. I found a short biography on VOUGE.com. I was pleasantly surprised to find out he is a relatively new designer. At any rate, dope is not a deserving adjective for these shoes. Even though I loved all of the ones that I saw, here are a few of my favorites from the Spring/Summer 2010 collection and a photo of the man himself. (Beware: Below is a level of fierceness you may not be prepared for. Proceed with caution xD).
