Current Fab Fixations

Update
Hi guys! I've been gone for a while and haven't updated you guys on much. It's the end of the semester and school is...school. Lol. The semester started off terribly for me. I'm also in a transitional period in my life right now. Making decisions and kind of trying to see where the wind blows me, if that makes any sense. At any rate, as you can see, I've re-designed my blog. I think it now reflects me and my growth and taste now. The header's fashion illustration was designed by the amazing Hayden Williams, he was kind enough to let me use it. Follow him and his work here on Twitter

I've also been experimenting with recording YouTube videos. *sigh* Lol. It's not for everyone, I'm afraid. I think I'm going to stick to expressing myself to you guys through my written posts.

Anyway, this post is about a few of my current lusts and such fashion and beauty-wise. I had interview with a company called Aritzia last week and I have a good feeling about it. They carry such great stuff, like this T.Baton Ryan coat. The tailoring is impeccable and it's a piece that I think I'd wear until I simply couldn't any more! Made of Italian wool and cashmere, this minimalist, menswear inspired silhouette is totally on trend and will serve any girl tried and true through the cold months.

Fab Fixations & sartorial desires

I want a cape so badly, I can't wait til I find one I fall in love with (and can afford). The M Missoni tiger-print caught my eye at first glance. Who knows, maybe someone will gift it to me (Yeah, right)

I've been loving Nicholas Kirkwood's shoe designs for about a year now. He is still my absolute FAVORITE shoe designer. These black, leather fringed wedge boots are so rad. They're delicious and so fucking cool. I could go on forever about how much I am in love with them.

Tom Ford's beauty product line just debuted not too long ago and I'd love to give some of his lipstick a try. I've recently become a bit make up crazed, so this is nothing surprising. (Right now my favorite products are Nightmoth lip liner and Ruby Woo lipstick from MAC. They're a little less pricey than the Tom Ford products :).

Check out the rest of the items I'm lusting for down below and tell me what you think of these picks! Love them? Hate them? Know of anything you think is better? Comment and let me know. AND if you have any posts with your own sartorial desires, link me and share :) Take care, guys.

Shoe Obsession

I mean....Need I say anything? I did a post exclusively on Nicholas Kirkwood shoes once before. What actually inspired me posting his Autumn collection was a shoe I saw Raven Symone sporting on The Wendy William's Show. She didn't say who they were by (smart girl) so me being the shoe/fashion obsessed person that I am, started investigating. No leads :( But I looked on Nicholas Kirkwood's site to see if by chance they were from his collection. They weren't. But I ended up falling in love with the ones I saw. I am officially his biggest fan. Shoe after shoe after shoe. I have never seen ONE SINGLE SOLITARY PAIR that I wouldn't wear. These are the type of shoes you spend your whole pay check on and don't feel guilty at all. Seriously. I die for these shoes. At any rate, here's the video of Raven's shoes (skip forward to 6:37 just to see the shoes lol. But I adore Raven so I enjoyed the whole interview. You might, too). Have a great weekend my loves!

Nicholas Kirkwood

Okay, so this post is going to be a relatively short one. I plan to do something like a series because I can't very well express my awe and instant love for this designer. I discovered one of Nicholas Kirkwood's shoes on ELLE.com. I was so smitten that I decided to go to his site. While on the site I nearly cried. These are the types of shoes that will make someone miss paying their bills. I could not find one pair of shoes that I didn't absolutely love. Clicking through the various designs and holding back tears, I quickly did a little digging to find out the story behind a man of such talent. I found a short biography on VOUGE.com. I was pleasantly surprised to find out he is a relatively new designer. At any rate, dope is not a deserving adjective for these shoes. Even though I loved all of the ones that I saw, here are a few of my favorites from the Spring/Summer 2010 collection and a photo of the man himself. (Beware: Below is a level of fierceness you may not be prepared for. Proceed with caution xD).
