Thanksgiving and....

Hello you lovely people! It's Thanksgiving night here in Michigan. I was gonna wait until tomorrow to blog but something told me to just do it tonight. I'm not busy. This post is just a short one filled with a few personal photos. Some are from yesterday and some are from today. I didn't bring my camera with me to my aunt's house, where we ate. I didn't regret it until I went to my other aunt's house for a short moment and saw this amazing sequin pillow that I knew you guys would probably LOVE. *sigh*. So, I'll just have to hope that I can get a snap shot on Christmas when I go back! At any rate, my holiday was fine as I have many things to be thankful for. I hope you guys had an awesome time with your loved ones and ate GOOD. Enough of my rambling, here are the photos from yesterday.

I'm wearing my trusty black leather jacket from Newport News that my mom gave to me awhile back, a sweater by David Paul New York, also gifted to me by my lovely mother, and a plain black long-sleeved Tee. (I love how my sweater looks with leather. Doesn't it give it a little bit of life, or is it just me?) My scarf was a gift from W magazine for subscribing lol I like it! And it's actually really warm. Two-finger bird ring from Charlotte Russe, three gold rings gifted. Nightmoth lip-liner and Ruby Woo by MAC on my lips, by the way. (Also thought I'd note that I love the way my eye-liner came out yesterday and it's thanks to one of my favorite YouTuber's, Shirley Beniang. You guys should really check out her channel, she's great!)

Okay, on to my Thanksgiving outfit.
It's a gown from Urban Outfitters which I haven't gotten a chance to wear until today. It's so pretty and it fits me like a glove! I wore it with my Steve Madden moccasins to keep it understated.

A closer look at my make up. I did a dramatic eye with Maybelline eye studio in 'Flash of Forest' cream shadows and L'oreal Matte Shadow Duo in 'Dashing' and an understated lip with MAC lip glass in 'Spirited'.

Disclaimer
Guys, just because you have a nice camera, doesn't mean your photos will always turn out great. I really wish I had someone experienced to take my photos. Usually, it's family members and such who really don't know what to do. It's not their fault. Lol. I hope you all enjoy the photos anyway. (I actually took the photos from yesterday myself and had the camera on a timer. Did they come out okay? Let me know if you prefer those and I'll do that from now on).

At any rate, I hope you all are having great holidays and I hope to hear from you all soon!

The Fab Five

Hi everyone! So, as some of you may know, last month I was approached by this great online store called Moderne to host a giveaway. Sadly, the giveaway didn't happen because enough people did not enter. However, the company decided to collaborate with me again and try another approach before hosting another giveaway. Moderne sent me a complementary Ts along with Ts for (five) lucky readers.

Not only do you get the T-shirts, but you will receive a 20% off discount card. So the first five readers to comment will receive the Tee and the discount! All you have to do is comment with your name, e-mail address and what item from ShopModerne.com you would use your discount on! Easy, right?

Here's how I wore my Tee

Newbies

Hello to all my fab ladies and gents out there. How are you? Good, I hope. I've decided to start updating every day. Reason being is that unlike a lot of things we tend to do, I like blogging and I'm dedicated to it. It isn't a phase I was in. I adore fashion and style and I love blogging. Especially my readers and followers. Anywho, I ordered some new boots from Overstock.com earlier this week and they came! They are Mattisse boots. Brown leather with studded detail. I love them! So here are some photos.

I paired the boots with a leather Etienne Aigner satchel. The browns
were almost identical, they complimented each other well. Also, my Jessica Simpson coat (which I love) in navy cracked suede and brown faux fur accents. Super chic.
Here's a closer look at my purse.

A few shots of me =) Hope you guys enjoyed my post!

Video Of The Day: Gavin DeGraw-We Belong Together
I REALLY love this song! I know its old but it's so beautiful. And Gavin DeGraw is amazingly talented. Enjoy!

The Fab Challenge

So, I've been horrible about updating. I'm really sorry, guys! Hopefully it won't get worse because my classes start on the 31st of this month. I swear, I'll do better. I have to. At any rate, I decided to give you all a bit of a challenge. Somewhere in the back of my mind I think a lot of you are just coming here to comment on the pretty pictures (which is fine) but I try to read people's posts if they have taking the time to write something. So I hope you all read this little tid bit I'm pouring out. Take the fab challenge and leave your thoughts! I have a question and this applies to everyone. When it comes to personal style, how do you get inspiration? Celebs, art work, etc...let me know. Or is it just whatever makes you feel the most comfortable? AND do you think your personal style is a reflection of who you are presently, who you are aiming to be in the near future or is it simply playing dress up day after day? I'm just curious. Leave word, loves!

Family Style

As you can see from the picture below, I got my love for looking good and dressing up from my beautiful mother. From rummaging through her vintage 80s wear now to trying to walk in her platform shoes when I was about 9 (trying to obtain the 'Spice Girl' look) my mother has always been a great inspiration as far as style goes. The woman is fabulous. Here's her donning a Jessica Simpson large plaid print wool coat, red faux croc bag from Avon and jewelry is miscellaneous. Today is my lovely mother's birthday. Happy birthday mommy! I love you!

Me in my Jessica Simpson coat. Navy suede with brown faux fur inside.
I adore this coat. (Jessica Simpson has some amazing stuff you guys. Truly.)

My boyfriend, wearing a Hollister tee, American Eagle jeans and gray and white Nike Dunks.

Gray pull-over sweater from Sears.

(Sorry I forgot to get a full body shot on the camera)
Graphic Tee from Hot Topic, Jeans from Cest La Vie, Scarf-Jessica Simpson
Gloves designed by me.

I got some color in my hair this weekend! I love it. What do you guys think?
(Sorry for the quality, this was taken with a phone)
Me and my love at the mall after seeing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and doing a bit of shopping.
It was a great day!

SN:
I really enjoyed the movie. It was VERY depressing but it definitely was a good film overall.
A tip for the ladies, Rupert Grint (Ron) has gotten BUFF.

*raised eyebrow* =) I still don't think he's cuter than the always dashing
Daniel Radcliffe, BUT. I gotta say, he's looking pretty good! Anyway, if
you know what's going on in the series by this time I think you will enjoy the movie.
If you haven't been keeping up you will be LOST. So before going to see it, I suggest
brushing up on the last six movies!

Video of the Day: Chris Brown ft. Lil Wayne-Gimme That
A throwback! I auditioned for my high school (Arts Academy in the Woods) to this song.
So many memories!

So this was a loaded post today but my weekend was eventfulul and I had to let you guys know.
 Have a great week darlings!
